The WCRP coordinates international climate research among thousands of scientists from many disciplines around the world. It encourages climate research initiatives that require international collaboration because they are too large or too complex for a single country, a single organization or a single country.

Challenge: To create a new visual identity for the WCRP to strengthen its credibility with high-level policy-makers, support fund-raising and instill pride in its members.
Open Science Conferences Logos
Open Science Conferences are annual and need every year a new mark. So we merged the brand imagery with the white space of the logo to create and infinitely variable yet strongly recognizable system.
The new Core Project logo symbols are representative of their respective fields of research and are based on the key elements of WCRP's ecosystem: the symbols are composed of 4 graphic elements, 4 colors representing the planet's 4 systems as seen in the main logo. WCRP's logo symbol is placed in the center of each logo tying the core projects to WCRP as well as creating an overall branding architecture.
